Rumor Has It Season 4 is good.

As many of you know I am a big Batman fan (and an advocate of putting him on the new nickle). So The Batman was a huge disappointment. But rumor has it Season 4 willl actually be good. Preview is here.

What's your breaking point?

I don't think this is Brand W GOP's worst transgression. But I gotta ask, at what point to do say enough is enough? I can understand conservatives not wanting to vote Democrat. But how caan you vote Republican? Bottom line: Brand W leadership knew Foley was a pedophile and covered it up.

Obviously the liberal blogs are ahead of the curve on this. But so far, TPM and DailyKos have been accurate so there's no reason to believe that it's not worse than currently reported.

And before it even starts, no this is not the same thing as Clinton nailing Monica. She was an adult. I don't really care that Foley is gay or that he is nailing an intern or page perse. I care that he's attempting to seduce underage page or intern. And I care that the GOP leadership knew about it and took steps to cover it up.

Rudy for UPMK Champion '07 Press Release

Friends of Rudy Von Chestnut release the following statement today regarding his win in the Canine Division of Ultimate Pet Mortal Kombat and his bid for Grand Champion All Species Division Victory.

Vote for your ruler

When I first became the Canine Champion of Ultimate Pet Mortal Kombat and demanded your homes, property and very lives, I didn't know you were already doing so, willingly, with your own government. I can win no tribute from a bankrupted nation populated by feeble flag-waving plebians. After I become Grand Champion in 2007 I shall restore your dignity and make you servants worthy of my rule. This new government shall become a tool of my oppression. Instead of hidden agendas and waffling policies, I offer you direct candor and brutal certainty. I only ask for your tribute, your lives, and your vote.

Saturday Ride then Starcross Baby

Yes, the Saturday ride is on. 9am. UZoka. The rush there starts at 8:30 so if ya wanna chat I recommend being in the door by 8:20. I am usually there at 8:15.. the PDog needs to eat at least 2 chocolate scones to keep his figure. Then off to Starcross. I won't be working the booth, but Chad will.

Important Drinking Question

Personal to McGann: Say I have been out partying until 3 in the morning and am stone cold wasted on bad cocktails and beer. Do you know a good McDonalds in the greater Kent area I can get a late night happy meal?

Poor Mr. Boots

Poor Mr. Boots. In response to my whinging about the pictures I got from Parker Mainstreet, Mr. Boots has stepped up and sent me a batch. A couple are pretty good. But, oh dear dear Mr. Boots, why would you send me a shot of your ass?????? You have to know that I will ignore all the others and post that one. I always go for the joke; it's my defining characteristic.

Pru-Sickity

PruPuppy started school and I already have my first cold of the Fall. Coincidence? Hmmm. Anyway, Saturday and Sunday 9am Zoka rides are on. Of course we'll have to waid through the wall of WoW riders but we'll survive. And I don't have the energy to harass ya Soupy.

Now you might be wondering why I have a picture of Nathan on my blog entry. Well, I sent these clowns to an NRC an what did I get? 2 Pictures. No calls, no emails. Just 2 pictures. The other picture was of a box so I figured I'd go with Nathan. I think he is hiding from Mr. Boots, who probably was trying to make him clean his Bandits and launder the one set of kit I sent him. But I am not sure. Boots ended up like 32nd and given how maniacal he was when he was sitting 92nd at Toona I can't blame Nathan for hiding.

Shirts Gone Good

Since I am airing my displeasure with The Wrap, I want to add I don't hate everyone! There are lots of places that have done me right. B-Bam comes to mind; they do our shirts and t's and have been super stand-up. Banner Bank has rocked for us as well.

Wraps Gone Bad

So we picked up the 'Ru from Signs By Whenever yesterday. What a joke that place has turned into. They double billed us for stands, the last batch of banners were either pixalated or aligned incorrectly. Now the car wrap that was supposed to be done in July is back after they had it for 8 days (it was supposed to be done in 2).

Frankly I am embarassed by this wrap. I can't believe that the new owner not only wouldn't try to fix the problem, wants me to pay for this crap but tried to blame the old owners too eventhough his crew did the work.

At CyclingSoups request here are a small percentage of the various problems with this wrap. Keep in mind, it looks better in photograph than in real life and that this is the way we picked it up; including all the dirt on the wrap job itself.

Randomized Thoughts

I recognize that I am again revealing my inner geek but I saw this image from Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo and the first thing I thought is "that's not right. the characters for Ro and Bi are in katakana and the N is in hiragana". My mind is very strange.

Crisis In landahl

Just got a panicked phone call from Landahl Georgia. My crew of Expo Hellions arrived to find no booth available. I am sure it will get sorted out; sounds like they are going to share with the Granny Gear store which may work out even better. But nothing says stress like having you staff call to tell you stuff is going wrong and they are really far away and can talk to you but can't hear cause the cell reception is so bad. But, I am working on letting go of the need to control everything. Deep breaths. Deep breaths.

Parker Mainstreet Crew

Yes girl, you know it's true. We've got a Parker Mainstreet Crew just for you. Parker Mainstreet Crew.....

It's late in the year, Omer's pro again, I am tired and it's an omnium. So the Axley Super Hyper Hit Squad Go will field a small crew of 3 for Parker Mainstreet. For the event I thought I had Tyler Hamilton, Jan Ullrich and Ivan Basso bought off and ready to ride for me but after Eugene I guess I should stop bringing ringers.

Instead I have:
Lang "Mr. Boots" Reynolds
Bio: Lang Reynolds joins Axley USA fulltime from Recycled Cycles. Lang works at Triumph multisport. Few people know that the character Ling Ling from drawn together is based on Lang. When not being chased down by an ex-teammate Lang enjoys long walks in the park, being sensitive and plotting to kill PruDog.

Shawn "FiestyMan" Ongers
Bio: Shawn like to take long pulls in the wind and mocking his opposition while driving the pace on hard climbs. Don't let those prison tats fool you though. Inside is the heart of one of the sweetest men you'll ever meet. Unless you look at him funny. Or talk to him. Actually, it's best to leave him alone.

Nathan "Oh My God, WTF am I doing weith these clowns" Smith
Bio: Nathan can be seen riding for The Garage at most races, but buying into the idea PruDog knows what he is doing, agreed to take Omer's spot on our roster when the big pro call up came. Nathan obviously has not talked to Chad about my travel planning skills.

PruDog
had planned on going too, but found out that he needed to stay home and whinge about how tired he is instead. That and he actually read Mrs. PruDog's letter to The-Sith-Cyclist-Who-Shall-Remain-Nameless for 3 more days.

Iconic Images

Ok, maybe not iconic. But The-Sith-Cyclist-Who-Shall-Remain-Nameless for 3 more days sent me some pics from the ride. My skewed mind skipped right over the scenic vistas and heart warming group shots and found 3 photos that sum up the crew involved. Your mileage/ineterest may vary.

UPMK: It's On!

Just in time for the offseason: Ultimate Pet Mortal Kombat is on.

Omer gets a job

Omer officially signed with Priority Health. It's about time you got a job you lazy bum.

Liars

If you are into politics, the CT-Sen race pitting Lamont (D) against Lieberman (R.. oh sorry D.. no wait CFL) and some 3rd dude no one knows seems to be a microcosm of how the election in general will go. Lieberman lost the Dem primary because, frankly, he has adopted the Brand-W position that questioning W is the same as supporting the Terrible Terror of the Terrorists.

So it's interesting to see how the GOP is supporting Lieberman as the defacto GOP candidate. Lieberman's big selling point is that he is a man of integrity. So now the GOPer blogosphere is pushing the meme that Lamont supported Lieberman in the whole Clinton/Lewinski affair. Except now he has supposedly flipped and is condemning Lieberman. The implication is that he lacks integrity and will sell out to get elected.

To wit Powerline:

Why Ned Lamont would make a great Democratic Senator

Ned Lamont, the Democratic nominee for Senator from Connecticut, has criticized Joe Lieberman for Lieberman's public rebuke of President Clinton over the Lewinsky affair back in 1998. According to Lamont, Lieberman was wrong to turn his back on a long friendship with Clinton and to "go to the floor of the Senate and turn this into a media spectacle."

Back in 1998, however, Lamont's opinion was very different. In fact, he wrote Lieberman an email (which, fortunately, Lieberman kept) praising the Senator for his eloquence and moral authority. Lamont told Lieberman:

I supported your statement because Clinton's behavior was outrageous: a Democrat had to stand up and state as much, and I hoped that your statement was the beginning of the end.

Via NRO's Sixers.

Except that's not what the email says at all. Read it here. Being naturally cynical I can't help but notice that Powerline's original post links to the email that's behind the NYTimes subscription firewall, while linking directly to the analysis articles.

Here's the thing I don't get. I understand having a conservative philosophy. I tend progressive but not by as much as people think. I've voted for Republicans, and suffered from Clinton fatigue too. But I don't like being lied to. If I was a true conservative, I wouldn't support Brand W. They lie to you, and worse treat you like you're stupid. I am fond of saying the W made me a Democrat. So why would anyone trust them or vote for them?

Blackberry Results

From Ridge Racing:
In only its 2nd year, the Blackberry Criterium held in Bremerton, Washington has grown into one of the richest 1 day races in the Pacific Northwest. The $5000 prize list up for grabs in the Pro 1-2 field attracted riders from all over the region. The Canadian professional team, Symmetrics sent a full squad including Canadian National Criterium Champion, Cam Evans and eventual race winner Andrew Pinfold. Numerous breakaway attempts were eventually thwarted by the slight rises at both ends of the course and the fast paced field. With 5 to go it became obvious that the race would come down to a field sprint. Menlo Park, California resident Billy Innes of the Lombardi Sports team tried to break the grip of the Symmetrics lead out train attacking with 1.5 laps to go. Although he managed to scoop up the $300 gamblers prime he was caught on the backside, setting the stage for the pack’s charge to the line. Pinfold was a clear winner over second place rider Jonny Sundt riding for Axley USA and third place rider, New Zealander Adam Curry racing for the local Broadmark Cycling Team.

Pro 1-2:

1 Andrew Pinfold

Ask Tubbs

I am still wiped out from carrying Big O's bags and bike at Eugene Celebration. But, my mailbag is full and I can't let my fans down. So, I have secured the help of Darth Tubbs for todays edition. Without further ado... Ask Tubbs.

Dear Tubbs,
I am a local Eugene racer. My team wins every race down here. Here you guys come down, with your big teams, pimp bikes and attitude. Shouldn't you have let us win at least one stage?

~Hutchy Locally Cranky Dude.

Dear HLCD,
God it's hot. Why is it so hot? Maybe I shouldn't have attacked so soon.. do I have water? ok I think I can make it to the feedzone... is that Omer coming up to me?

Dear Tubbs,
You guys did a good job getting 2nd place overall with that attack on the final Stage. I don't understand why the other guys refused to help chase. Axley had already locked up 1st and with David in 5th it seems like it was up to the others to try to take the stage and maybe move up on GC.

~Tired From Seattle

Dear TFS
Is that the feedzone? Oh thank God. I need water.. the sweet sweet water. What??? I don't want any f^%&ing heed. I want water.. I am not yelling! I just need water..... What's a guy gotta do to get a little water?

Dear Tubbs
When is my Husband coming home? He posted that his season was over in June and now he wants to go do Parker Mainstreet in 2 weeks. He keeps saying he wants to race up to when our baby is born. Help me.

Mrs. PruDog

Dear Mrs. PruDog,
Oh thank God... is that you Johnny O? You got water.. no that's PDog's water... are you sure? OK I'lll have some? No, no I can't take his big loaf of bread. A massage? Well that's really nice. I feel great now! Thanks! I think i am going to win the TT and the crit tomorrow.

No, thank you Darth Tubbs for helping me out with the letter column. And thanks to everyone in advance for flippin' me road kill for negotiating an early release from Stage One. As I told Tubbs, don't be bitter cause I can negotiate a better deal than your team can!

Gangs of Axley

Apparently, the Axley Super Hyper Team Go had a very good weekend. Whilst Jonny was flying the flag to a sweet 2nd place at The Stache's 50,987,089.01 prize list crit we were working like dogs to protect Omer's massive 6 minute lead at Eugene. Although we took GC, Broadmark had a good weekend as well getting 2nd overall and 3 stage wins. We got all the money primes in the crit though, so right back at ya.

There are lots of stories to tell, from getting stuck at motel 6 south (I think the freeway runs through it) to Old As Dirt Freaking outon the climb and running naked through the feedzone. Really. It happened. Just ask him.

Oh, and personal to Johny O.... let me get this straight.. you had time to give Darth Tubbs water but not me??????? Worst. Feeder. Ever. And were's my loaf of bread????
