PDog brings the pain

Little did you all suspect the pain i brought was Todd Herriott. And for the record, I did not stop chasing with one to go. Todd stopped waiting and drilled it. Ack.

And ok here's last nights Bastardo List:

PDog! You swerve cause and almost kill the whole field. You bastardo! You no longer exist in my mind! And for love of Maria get a new cogset that doesn't skip.

Recycled Cycles Guy! You chase down Mr. Boots! How can you chase Mr. Boots???? He is cute and the girls love Mr. Boots. You Bastardo. You no longer exist in my mind.

Todd Herriott! I give you ride to PR and you destroy my legs after doing hill repeats that morning! And then you ride extra laps to get more time. You Bastardo! You no longer exist in my mind!

That was seriously the hardest PR I can remember. Every lap it was either all I had to stay with the leaders...then die on the flats, or climb "easy" and drill it to try and not get dropped off the tail end of the field. We still got into the points at the end, but moves that would have stuck other weeks (Tubbs/Jamie/Warren/Garage Guy/me with a solid gap) were drilled back by Todd. It's amazing to see how much difference there is between the best in WA (Ian/James) and a national guy. Ian and James worked like dogs - mostly because they ware the only ones who could and they still didn't peg back anything on TH. It was "fun", but I can't say I'm unhappy that we don't have to go up the S-curves again this year.

He's a pro, I'd do the same if I didn't have to come to work and put up with a bunch of lazy ah's

I cant believe Mr. Boots made it back in one piece. I thought he was left behind for ever. Better luck with him now, Lang, than you had with the Quebec chicks.

I agree with the above comments about that being one of the hardest PR's EVAR!

I kept thinking, "OK, this time I'l break away." I tried so hard on the hill I think I pulled something in my right pec/shoulder. That and I was so tired today just the thought of riding made me want to take a nap.

Who's Mr. Boots?

I particularly enjoyed having Todd race by over the top of the climb while I'm completely on the rivet, sit up 400 meters later and look over his shoulder like, "What!?! You guys not coming with me?"

Cheers!

Of course Mr. Boots made it back, I'd never leave him behind... For the record, he is quite the hit with all the cougars that roam leschi.

and yes, TH is the man - pdog, next time you give him a ride to PR, see if you can "accidentally" "forget to put his bike on the rack"

and come on, "who is mr. boots?" you ask?

as Trevor's favorite band once said, "if you have to ask, you'll never know..."

OK, I'll take that Lang. I had to ask, so I guess I'll never know. Aaaaarrgghh! I hate missing the punchline! ;-)

As for leaving TH's bike...nah maybe just his shoes so he has to ride in his tennies or sandals. That ought to make it a little easier for the rest of us to keep up with him.

Nice ridng yourself Lang. You were breaking some legs out there too.
