You were riding good early... then I though I saw you get a flat?
The story behind the Powerslide of Fear is sketchy because frankly I was busy trying to stay upright and not to what was happening but....
I bled off some speed since everyone was on my wheel (Kenny was up the road and Torgeson was chasing). That big dude in the powder blue decided to jump right before the corner on my outside (which is not the best place to accelerate). I think he misjudged the corners and I saw him overcook it on the inside (I later learned he jacked the brakes so hard he broke the cable).
None of which should have caused me any problem.
But when I flicked my bike to the outside to go around him I think Pedaled down while I was in full lean (instead of straightening it up a bit) and dug my pedal, lifted the backend but somehow managed to shift in midair and drop it down straight. The impact rolled the clincher so I had to get a new wheel.
I think. All I am really sure about is the rear wheel was sideways and somehow I managed not to crash.
N~ They come in white/black, blue/white and silver/red.
How can you bear the shame of having raced Masters??
Now I'm gonna race masters at PR if you don't carpool with Stoked!
