You know you are in trouble when...
You cramp so bad you have to walk part of the last 3 km climb.

All cool bike racers walk up the climbs.
If you had to walk at PR, then I'd be worried!
Speaking of cool bike racers walking, rumor Jamie had to walk a bit on Cayuse yesterday, he too was cramping. Or was it from dragging Martha's lard ass up the climb???
No dinner for me the rest of the week, and I'll be sleeping in the shed.
That shows how bad I was on sunday, not yesterday!! It still hurts like it was yesterday.Suz was putting the hurts on me, had to pretend I was feeling fine. I think it worked.
Yes, all, Dirt apologized. I'll let him off with a week of his own cooking as punishment. He'll lose 5 pounds, just in time for the hillclimb.
I was almost right there with you buddy! That climb was BRUTAL after all that wind on the flats. By far THE hardest 56 mile race I've ever done.
Where'd you come off the chase group? I was pretty focused on tasting my stem most of the day so I have no idea when folks got popped (except when I popped out of the break). I just remember drifting back at one point and there were only about 10 guys left. OUCH!
Cheers!

hey, bike racing isn't worth the dog house for :)
And ian, I think I really came off when you countered Campbell and me. You bastard. I technically stayed in a bit longer (actually, I have no idea were I came off cause that course is a maze) but not much. Luckily I hooked up with a good group and we kept a good tempo so we didn't lose too much ground. At least we finished.. it sounds like quite a few packed.
and before everyone gets the wrong idea it was a great race. it was flat, windy and only had a hill at the end.
