No Hills? WTF
Oh, also too, I was asked why we don't have hilly races. Cause, we are in the NW and there are hills. So what up?
It's because NW Cyclists are soft and have not been properly beaten by Eddie Meryckx. As a result they do not show up for hilly races. When we promote them we need to claim there are "punchy climbs" and hope no one pre-rides the course. That's right Tubbs, I am looking at you. You too Boots.

It's just good business to have less hills. More racers want to race at events they can at least finish. Races like Northshore that are just hill repeats is a hard sell for anyone over 160lbs (and there are PLENTY of those).
If you have the option to run a course with hills in the end, you'd probably get more attendence. Flatlanders get to play a role by helping their teammates, but without getting dropped after 1/2 a lap. Logistically a challenge, but generally considered good races. TST was hard, but it got a good turnout because even if you got dropped on the run into the finish...it was a short limp home from the selection.
Short? Limp? Home? Really? I think you need your dictionary replaced.
Bottom on Holly Hill to Tahuya is 9.4mi. The year Farrar won the 3s, it was hot, and I begged a kid for a popsicle. Serious.
Oh, Hills will be there for you.
