Why?

I guess I understand why Tomke's family & friends would want to intervene if they felt his cocaine use was a problem.

But I have a hard time understanding why the UCI should care or why he should be kicked off the tour.

At the end of the day, this one seems to be a personal issue that isn't impacting his job perfmormance (or performance). To the extent it impact sthe image of the sport, that seems rather circular since it's the sport making a big deal out of it.
