Light Bloggin'

I am heading out of town for 3 weeks so I am looking to all you other Northwest Bloggers to step-up like Jens Voight on a HC col and set a high tempo. Get on it. But since I expect you all to be more like Silence-Lotto consider this an open thread (now with 200% less moderatation!) for all your incoherent ramblings.

And if you can't figure out what to discuss, let me suggest making fun of 47 year old cyclists looking for free rides to bike races and bouncing checks for the Thursday night Seward Park race.

Let's start a pool. Pick a number between -15 and +15. Whoever is closest to PruDog's net weight change during his vacation wins. Maybe Chad will kick in a pair of glasses for the winner? If you don't have a fat head :) I might kick in a hat.... Maybe PDog will give us an update at the end of weeks 1 and 2 to fire things up a little. Of course, as a sincere friend, I have to pick -15 to prove I have confidence in his willpower and good eating habits....

Before I weigh in on a guess - where's the PruFam going on vacation and what are the available exercise options?

With PruPuppies in tow, I doubt it's Alpe d'Huez or a cleansing spa in Napa.

Speaking Alpe d'Huez, how about Carlos Sastre? Very happy to see him take it. Although, he will have to put some more time into Cadel to win as Cadel is a great TT rider.

And WTH? Taken from Velonews article http://tour-de-france.velonews.com/article/80660/who-won-sastre-or-evans:
"However Silence-Lotto team manager Marc Sergeant told VeloNews he sees it as advantage Sastre. “I think the big winner is Sastre. Okay, it’s a long time trial, but in between we have two more difficult stages. We might see more attacking before the time trial, but there are a lot of guys who still want to win stages. It will be very nervous, that’s for sure. And we should never underestimate Menchov.”"

Nothing like showing support for your own rider...MOVE TO ANOTHER TEAM, CADEL.

As for P-Dog poundage....-5. It's half full....barely. :-)
